We would like to provide UTLO membership with an update regarding the status of contract negotiations between the UTLO and MTA.

We are pleased to inform you that the UTLO President has taken the initiative to request a contract negotiations date from the MTA. In response, the MTA has communicated that the selection of the next contract to be negotiated will occur after the TWU contract has been ratified by both the MTA Board and the TWU membership.

We anticipate that the process will be completed sometime in July. Once the TWU contract is ratified, the MTA will then turn its attention to selecting the next employee contract to be negotiated.

As a result, we kindly ask for your continued patience during this period. We understand that negotiations are of utmost importance to membership, and we assure you that the UTLO is actively engaged in advocating for your rights and interests. We remain committed to securing a fair and equitable contract that addresses the concerns and priorities of our valued members.

We will continue to keep you informed as we receive updates from the MTA and progress through the negotiation process.
